We are very lucky to have x4 lovely foodie pubs in walking distance. The Cherry Pie Inn (Just next door), The Cross Foxes Nannerch, The Fox Ysceifiog and The Crown Inn Lixwm all welcome dogs. These pubs are very popular, particularly at weekends, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
The Fox
Located in Ysceifiog, a 45 min walk from the Old Mill. The Fox offers a great selection of drinks and a food menu. With a children's playpark opposite
The Cherry Pie Inn
The Cherry Pie Inn & Restaurant is a firm favourite with our guests providing a great menu and conveniently located next door to the Old Mill Holiday Cottages in Melin-y-Wern.
The Crown Inn
Located in Lixwm, a 45 minute walk from the Old Mill. The Crown Inn serves great food in a beautifully refurbished setting. With a children's playpark opposite.
The Cross Foxes
Situated in our local village, Nannerch (20 min walk). The Cross Foxes offers a great bar and food menu plus great hospitality.

Indian Lounge
Award winning Indian restaurant in Nannerch, 5 mins drive from The Old Mill. Fully licensed eat in or takeaway. The Sunday buffet is particularly popular.
The Piccadilly Inn
Located in Caerwys, 10 mins drive from The Old Mill. A stylish country pub full of atmosphere and great food.
Dinorben Arms
A 15 mins drive to a very popular bistro pub. The Dinorben Arms is located in Bodfari, surrounded by beautiful views. Also part of the Brunning & Price pub chain, the Glas Fryn in Mold is equally as popular (opposite the theatre).
Afonwen Craft Centre
The Afonwen Craft & Antique centre is a 10 mins drive from The Old Mill and is a great spot for afternoon tea and some fantastic homemade cakes.
How To Find Us
The Old Mill Holiday Cottages are conveniently located on the A541 between Mold and Denbigh in North Wales. The holiday cottages are 10mins from the A55 - westbound lies the beautiful Anglesey whilst eastbound links onto the M56 motorway.

The Old Mill offers a range of Four Star self-catering accommodation set in picturesque landscaped gardens that guests have full access to. All fully restored with a mix of old and new to retain the Old Mill charm and character. Each cottage is light and airy with dedicated off road parking. There is easy access to the extensive landscaped gardens with a footpath area for dog walking, lovely seating areas perfect for picnics and lovely views.
